Hello, and welcome to my adoption center. Here, you can adopt your own Northeastern Camoflage Drake!
Note: I have closed down DinoDopts, and will finish the last Dinos people ordered before I had closed it down. NCD is open, though! ^^
About
NCD`s are a type of drake with very varying looks. They are called Northeastern Camoflage Drakes because they are drakes that can expertly camoflage themselves, and are amazing hunters. The Notheastern part comes from the fact that they were first captured and tamed in the northeastern parts of America.
Humans have discovered three different sub-species: Arial, Oceanic, and Speed NCD`s. They each have very specialized traits built for where and how they live. Humans, over the years, have learned to tame them. They trained and bred the drakes for their own purposes, and ended up creating a new breed, called the War NCD, a terrifying drake covered in spikes.
Arial Drakes
Arial drakes are very difficult to find, and were first discovered during a plane expedition in Australia. They are feathery beasts specialized in flying. Arials have tall, thin feathered wings that allow them to easily soar high in the sky, and often have a feathered crest atop their head. Their hide is usually colored with light colors such as off-white of cream brown. Scientists think this is to help camoflage them into their cloudy environment.
Oceanic Drakes
Oceanics are built for the sea. They were discovered off the coast of Maine.They are covered in fins to help them swim against the powerful ocean currents, and their scales retain heat, helping the dragons to keep warm. Their hide colors vary from muddy brown to light blue or dark green.
Speed Drakes
An example of Speed Drakes is shown in the drawing. Please note that the Speed Drake in the drawing is not up for adoption. They are very aerodynamic, and have similar builds to that of Velociraptors. Their hide color is usually green or brown, or combinations of both, but can be almost any natural color. They live in forests near towns and villages, and like to scavenge on human leftovers. Because of this, people call them "Raccoon Dragons." They can run the speed of a race horse; about 40 miles per hour.
War Drakes
War Drakes are terrifying drakes used in warfare. They can grow to the size of a Hummer, and are armed with sharp spikes, claws, teeth, and horns. Their coloring usually consists of bright colors such as yellow and red, and darker colors such as brown, black, blue, and dark purple. They are very intelligent; able to understand human language and war strategy.
