This is actually the second time I've drawn this. The first one was a lot better, but my computer froze and shut down when I was almost finished. I sort of sat there with my mouth open thinking "NOOOOOO!!!" After pouting for a bit I decided to make it again.
Lazy background is lazy, I think the girl turned out ok though.

how do I say this... layers are basically used to build up your drawings with, well, layers. To use them you look for the box on the screen that has a tab labeled "Layer 1". You can click the + or - signs to add or get rid of layers. You click on the layer you want to draw on or edit. Layers are great for shading and highlights as well as putting your background behind the subject.
This probably isn't an adequate description because I haven't been using oekaki for very long, so I suggest asking someone more experienced
