As the cool morning sun rose over the tops of the trees, a female wolf had just given birth. As she stared in awe at her fox like child, she was stunned, could it be? Had she bared the child that would once again restore peace? Nigira had never thought her self special, but now she was staring at her own daughter, a strange creature with yellow eyes and a fox like color. Her mate Rikko also stared, but not at the color, but at the strange marks across her fore head.
"She bares the mark... The won't stop till she's dead." he quietly said.
"I don't care... Shes mine." Nigira said defiantly. Rikko shook his heavy head.
"Shes your burden now." with that he turned heel and started off into the woods.
"Wait... does this mean,"
"Yes, good-bye my sweet Nigira, we are no longer mates as long as you seek protection to that inconvenience." Nigira stared wistfully as her mates tail slowly disappeared into the thick brush.
