I like your original picture, it gave me something good to work with and it wasn't real hard either, the few things I did should be a little helpful in the future if nothing else.

Remember to draw the joints, start with a circle for the head, a small square for the muzzle, and then the rest of the joints going down. The tail needs to be a bit longer and thinner, and the toes a little more defined but over all its pretty easy to redline. <3 Thanks for allowing me to redline this. And I hope this helps!
