Personality:
Passionate - Freya is all fire and ice, her temper is sharp and wild and her personality bold and blunt. She lives life to the fullest and puts her self totally into everything she does, whether it be training, battle, or a friendship, she is solidly in it and whole heartedly back what ever it is. When she decides something it's because she agrees and believes it's right, even if others my not agree with her. Sometimes this quality makes her a bit impulsive but other time it serves to her advantage.
Reserved - Even though she is passionate and fiery Freya isn't silly. She isn't quick to trust either. she doesn't like to make big dessions on the spot, perfering to think them through first and have all the facts as she doesn't like to just dive head first into anything. Her wild temper and reserved nature also make her a little shy sometimes. It takes her a while to open up but once she does there's no getting her to be quiet again.
Playful - Once Freya opens up she's witty and playful, loving nothing more then wordplay or play of any kind. She quick with a joke and good for lightening a dower mood. She's always ready to laugh and loves, also around those she's comfortable with she is sill enough to make them laugh. To Freya letting things bring you down is just a waste for time, sure things get sad, and some things hurt, but don't dwell on them. It doesn't do any good at all to mope.
Perceptive - Freya know what you need and when, or when is a good time for something and when it's not. At least most of the time. She's caring and quick to understand, also a little inclined to mothering everyone whether they're older or younger. Freya my not be able to give you advice all the time but she can tell you exactly what you need to hear and who you need to talk to. She hates to see anyone down in the dumps and won't let them stay there if she can helps it.
Fierce - Freya is very fierce and very loyal and brave. She will do what ever it takes even at her own risk if it will save others. She also fights with an intensity to shame the mightiest lion, and her passionate nature means that even for one so young she has skill to match her ferocity in battle. That and her loyalty to her friends and 'clan'. She always wants the best for them and will fight tooth and claw to make sure they get what they need. Sometimes her bravery make her stupid and reckless but it's not a weakness.
Grey Morals - Freya does what she can best see as right, but for her right and moral aren't always the same thing. So she lands in a bit of a moral grey area because she will go against moral codes, be they her's or another's, to do what needs doing. No matter the consequences.
Likes/Dislikes:
Likes - Peace, those around her happy and comfortable, warmth, sunny days, clear nights, water, kits, knowing what's going on, sparing, her armor, a good fresh meal, laughing, feeling well groomed, victory after strife, the hunt, her 'clan' pride, the wild energy of battle, etc.
Dislikes - Being cold, losing her friends, strife, war, going hungry, seeing other surfer, being helpless, winter, etc.
History/Story:
From the moment Freya and her brother, Sparrow, opened their eyes as new kits the were a matched set. And they stood out.
Freya with all her bold fire was matched perfectly by careful Sparrow. Even though the two ginger tabbies with purple eyes caused quite a stir among the adults around them they never let anything hold them back.
Nothing was off limits, sneaking out at night to watch the three moons rise or creeping all the way to the border to see the waste lands. But that reckless nature would be their undoing.
They were still carefree and full of hope as they had grown up in peaceful years with only a scuffle or two here and there. They knew not of their race's age old enemy except for stories. But they were just kit tales! The real ones weren't that scary!.... Right?
Freya was a force to be reckoned with in training, she wanted to be the best, and as did Sparrow. Each time one grew stronger the other worked twice as hard to be able to beat them again. Their trainers applauded their hard work but tried to teach them responsibility and reason, but never succeeded. No punishment reigned the twins in, no rule or restriction or story turned them off anything. In their eyes they were invincible.
While they both entered the ranks of soldiers already considered formidable fighters the purple-eyed twins still refused to learn discipline. What did they have to worry about?
But these free and easy views were shattered when they were first called into battle.
The alarm had sounded in the middle of the night, the sentry's call.
"ATTACK! ATTACK!" Had been the frightened cry that had woken Freya and Sparrow at dawn. Finally! They're first battle!
One they were not prepared for.
Upon the raging field of battle Freya and Sparrow stuck together, defending each other and battling bravely. But when the were separated from the rest of the fight and attacked by three Bonakasine they couldn't hold their. When a group of older soldiers finally came to their aid Sparrow was hurt bad but still fighting and Freya was doing the same. The difference between then was the placement of the wounds. with the battle over and the day won the remaining Yik'tar gathered their dead and returned home for treatment and the comfort of family and friends.
Most of the injured began to recover, except for Sparrow. He had taken a Bonakasine bit to the throat which the infection was refusing to leave. He couldn't eat or sleep to heal and fever burned his body, wasting him away. But every moment Freya was there. She abandoned everything but looking after her brother by helping the healer. But it wasn't enough.
It took him two weeks of wasting way to die. Freya still doesn't know which killed him, sickness or the inability to eat. But she will never forget what he told her the day he died. "Don't let fire was you clean Freya, For that will leave you weak. Let it temper you until none can stand against you."
Though his death was nearly a year ago now she still sits and talks to him sometimes. Trying to fully understand what he said and why, she understands parts of it but not all. Many say it was just ravings, but she knows better, her brother was never saner then he was in those last few hours.
Though Frya has mostly recovered her old nature after the loss of her other half, Sparrow, she still bears some marks. He reckless nature had been tempered and her understanding of the highs and lows of life filled.
But more then anything now she had a reason to fight, to make sure that no one else dies like here brother.
Not if she can help it.
