These two are characters from another one of my stories, one which actually has a title. It's called Iron Bones, and the main character is Cobalt, that little blue-grey dude who's design is still in progress, hence the dullness of it. I know, I'm crazy. Writing a story and only then designing the characters.
Cobalt is a serious, job-focused dog who is a guard dog in a research facility where they test mutations and stuff on canines. He has his own mutation, having had his skeleton, fangs and claws turned into metal. He has been sent out to hunt down and kill a runaway experiment, who has yet to be named properly (though his code is KL37) who was his only friend in the facility. KL37 was heavily tested on, being mutated from a regular German Shepard into a giant killing machine, and had spent all his life in the facility, talking to Officer Cobalt, his only contact with the outside world.
Axel is a stray. He is a hybreed, his father having been a mutt and his mother a member of a influential pack. He was raised by his father after his mother's back refused to accept Axel, and was owned by an old man till he passed away. He is a hyperactive, annoying, cocky, rather odd, sarcastic and immature canine, but is fiercely loyal to his friends, and an excellent companion. I hate drawing him, but I love his character (the colours aren't exactly right here D:).
What happens when the two meet? They become best friends. Obviously. I make so much sense C:
"I knew from the moment I saw him, that he was going to annoy the hell out of me. But I couldn't help but be intrigued by this odd canine." Cobalt about Axel, right after their fist conversation, which involves Axel questioning why Cobalt was there, then ignoring him.
