Chinese Character Practice

Postby Blockbeap » Thu Nov 10, 2011 2:53 pm

@_@

This is a TOUGH language to learn! I am currently attempting to learn Mandarin Chinese. That is an insanely tough language. xPPP I speak pretty well now and can do a simple conversation with someone. These are only some of the characters I know which I think is called Pinyin. I don't entirely know.... Cx

Gonna do another one with the rest/more of what I know.

Enjoy!

How cool! :3 I'm not Chinese but will be visiting it for a while. Do you know Chinese? If so, which language? C:

Pinyin and characters aren't the same -- the characters are the actual characters (there are two different forms, traditional and simplified), and Pinyin is the Romanized version of Chinese characters. Basically, they're the characters spelled in the English alphabet (like yi for 一 or huo for 火, of course without the stresses since I don't know how to type those on my laptop x3).

These look pretty nice! Good luck learning Mandarin. :>

X3 Japanese really is pulled off of Chinese. I could read almost everything here, since I started learning Japanese a few months ago. Remembering all the character strokes is the hard part. :3
