Willow, Weep for Me

Postby Ulysses » Wed Nov 09, 2011 12:17 pm

A pretty Tin Hat Trio song of the same name as the title here:
-Willow Weep for Me-Tin Hat Trio-The Rodeo Eroded-http://grooveshark.com/s/Willow+Weep+For+Me/3U8ujm?src=5

A second part to my "Tree Series" that some of my fellow CSers noted me starting with my first tree oekaki in the soon-to-be series of a Silver Birch tree. I hope that you guys can tell what kind of tree this is... it's all over the title and such, but if I didn't capture the tree correctly there's no point to the drawing. In any case, comments and criticism are both very welcome, and I hope you guys like the Weeping Willow!

I keep six honest serving-men
(They taught me all I knew);
Their names are What and Were and When
And How and Why and Who.
I send them over land and sea,
I send them east and west;
And after they have worked for me,
I give them all a rest.

I let them rest from nine till five,
For I am busy then,
As well as breakfast, lunch, and tea,
For they are hungry men.

But different folk have different views;
I know a person small~
She keeps ten million serving-men,
Who get no rest at all!
She sends 'em abroad on her own affairs,
From the second she opens her eyes
One million Hows, two million Wheres,
And seven million Whys!

Wow. I like this a lot. It's got a kind of creepy, yet serene atmosphere. Seriously cool. :clap:

I think if you want the willow trees to look more like willows though, you need to add more leafy branch thingies, and make them a bit more long and drapey. ;)

Anyway, love the drawing, and I like the Silver Birches one as well!
Sorry, I'm not taking art commissions or requests.

If you send me a PM and I don't answer it, please don't take it personally. I tend to read them with the intent of replying later...and then I forget. Bear with me, it's a horrible habit that I'm trying to break.

Thank you, Oofay! The willows do have a lot of the leafy thingies indeed... I shall be adding more tonight B:<

Hey I just wanted to say that I haven't been active on CS for a while and I've missed out on a lot of pets so if you're looking to trade some recent pets for older ones feel free to send me a suggestion.
