Timmothy glared at his parents, red eyes flashing with anger. "You expect me to forgive you? After you abandoned me?"

"Timmothy, we had no choice." Romaeus said. "It was for the safety of everyone else. This was the first time a dragon had ever been bitten. We didn't know you'd be alright."

"So that was it? You just gave up on your only son and left him to die?" Timmothy snarled. "If you really cared about me, you would've waited and seen I was fine!"

"Please Timmothy, try to understand." Morgan begged, tears glistening in her eyes. "Leaving you behind was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. If I'd known what would happen I would never have done it."

"It's too late for apologies. And maybe you think I was too young to remember what happened that night, but you're wrong. I remember it crystal clear, and I'll never forget what you did."
