Ok so I've never drawn a fox before and it looks weird to me.
Obviously I will color in, shade and highlight he other arm. And I plan to add more ticking to the fur on the back and face...and fill in the grass.

Now..what do I do to make him look more ..foxy?

I would blur the tail a bit, and use the smuge tool on the tip

I see what you mean, I'll give that a try.
I was trying to give it texture, but it looked strange.

I like the detail you are adding to your picture.

As for the anatomy, it looks good! If anything, maybe thin the muzzle a little, and sort of narrow it towards the nose? A reference for the head might help you tweak things if you think it needs any changing. Overall, it looks very nice. Wonderful work!

I think this too thick muzzle thing carries over from horses and wolves . (that's what I usually draw)
I have the same problem when drawing cats. *sigh*
good thing for layers and the eraser tool.

SO I added more color/highlights/lowlights and texture. Also colored in the arm and modified the muzzle. I added grass...still looks off...
