Redline for 'Hypnotic 2

Postby Spockylass » Thu Nov 03, 2011 9:37 am

Here you go. Didn't have too much to suggest, just remember muscles bend and tighten and loosen depending on position. Really nice work, hope this helps!

:D I've always had trouble on muscles and how they look on a horse.

Ironic - This week we where talking about how Leonardo Da Vinci's horse project, and how he studied them until perfection. :3

Like I suggested with the skeleton, have a reference on hand to help you. I don't do this nearly enough myself, but if I'm really aiming for accuracy with a drawing, there's nothing better than an image to look at!

Yes, I've tried using refs before, they just always mess me up. I over-anylze things a lot so normally I'll just base it of a horse i've seen before or on memory of horse anatomy. :3

That works as well. ^^ For any drawing, I recommend starting with a sketch, don't make the lines too dark, and just get the basic form out. Even if it's just a few circles. Work your way up from there so that the lines fit the shape and the detail with the lines. <3 Really like what you've got going here, in this image.
A reference image is just a tool, not a set of rules, and you don't have to match your image to the ref 100%. ;D

Alright. ASAP I'll try get a basic build/circly/line sketch, color mein into a hopefully-full horse with semi-muscle marks {I've had to teach myself how to muscle/shade mark so it will not look well x3} . ~Goes to dig out some anatomy books~
