Elizebeth made her way down to the village. She could already hear the screams; her fears had become reality. As she came in sight of the village, she gripped her sword tighter and walked forward. Dead bodies were strewn around the ground, and their souls hovered over them.
Death was expecting her. "Well, well,' he said in a soothing voice 'long time no see, Spirit of Snow."
Elizebeth scowled. "Kurokaze! Why have you come to the land of Man?"
Death chuckled and his form started to change into that of a human being, although his ears and tail remained. Chocolate skin covered where fur used to be and long black hair appeared around his face. Two black eyes and a sharp toothed grin mocked back at Elizebeth. "I've come for you! And our precious son...Or should I say, your heads...It is the Spirit King's wish, and I shall obey him."
Elizebeth felt tears in her eyes. Had her love for this person been all a lie? Was he seriously going to kill his own wife and son? But then again...Death had no emotion of sympathy.
She swung the sword so that it pointed at Death's neck. "Don't you dare lay a hand on Shiro!"
The struggle for life had began.
