This is a ref to a real horse I used to ride. She was recently put down due to colic.

AWWWWW that really sucks. But I used to ride a super awesome blue roan with small feathers named Barcode. I loved him but then he got hit by a car and the owner had its leg fixed(you can get a horses leg fixed, it just takes FOREVER and the horse hates it). But then a few months later, he got sick so he got put down. I was so mad

he kinda looks like this, but his star was bigger, and he had little black feathers:
