He looked like a dire wolf, and the name made me think prehistoric. I love dire wolves. :3

*nod* Mastodon means mammoth. Me too, there need to be more dire characters floating around.

Not to be too technical, but a mastodon was actually a close cousin to the mammoth. xD The easiest way to tell them apart was the tusks. Mastodons had ginormously long tusks.

I didn't draw this, Pastel did, I just colored. I do draw, but I'm not nearly this good.
