Today I was in one of my super-depressed moods. So, naturally, I drew my favourite Hetalia character and listened to some Lady Gaga and Avril Lavigne. I'm doing a bit better now, but I'm not all there.
I might fix up his hair at a later date if I have time/feel like it. I was too lazy to figure out what I'd done wrong with the layers [I should've learned how to work things by now, jeez] so I never re-traced it to make it nicer. I think it looks cooler with the red, anyway.
I'm writing a fanfiction that's not in the main story-line of Hetalia, and I wanted to draw a picture that maybe reflected the mood of it. I figured he wouldn't wear his usual outfit in normal situations, so whilst I was drawing [I usually have weird thoughts whilst doing so] I decided that at some point in the story he'd be at a dinner party and he'd wear it xD
And if you're wondering: yes, I did use a reference. I really like their style and I plan to model mine a bit after it. I want to draw more realistically, I think, so if and when I'm back on here, expect to see my style look more like theirs
