bump * If someone could explain a better technique for shading, and doing fur that would help

try getting a point of where the light is coming from, you can even do spots where there are glares on the fur so the picture stands out. i <3 love your pic, very well done, the fur looks like it was hard to do

That expression is just hilarious XD ohmagawd, if my dogs ever made that expression at me I think I'd have a laugh attack I would agree with funsized as to choosing a spot from which the light hits Skye and then envisioning where the light hits the fur and lightening the fur there and in contrast darkening the spots where the light does not hit. I would suggest making the light hit her from the side; I find it easier to shade if the light hits one side or another as a pose to coming from a source above, below or behind the subject. Hopefully my idiocy is helpful

I agree with the light coming from the side, its easier for me to. I am just learning shading so its hard for me. But Im trying my best. This is my first seriouse Oekaki ^^
