Akuren's personality: He is the very caring type though he is a bit eccentric on the outside. He will laugh overly so if he finds something funny and he likes to trip people up with word games and mind puzzles that he thinks up. But when someone is in trouble or hurt he will go out of his way to help and make sure they are healed. He is very mother hen-ish to those in his care and actually likes pups a lot and will voluntary to watch them when others are no available. He would voluntary more but he is shy about that side of him and doesn't show it to everyone, the side most people see is the cocky young puzzle master.

Akurens backstory/history: Malo is a young male Akuren, it makes him flashy and cocky because of his brighter appearance verses the darker colored Akuren. He was born to two healer parents, his mother a dark almost black color with streaks of white and his father a chestnut color with black stripes all over his body. His mother wore a plain grey mask and feather while his father wore a mask of golden color with dark green feather adorning his neck and tail.

He loved to show off as a pup trying to climb higher then other and trying to run longer and faster then the others. Even to the point of recklessness sometimes. He one time climbed so high in an old tree that he got to the branches not think enough to support his weight properly, getting scarred he panicked and clung to the tree as the branches beneath his paws creaked and cracked with the wind blowing up that high.It was like the wind was trying to rip him off the tree branches so he cling tighter forgetting completely about how to get down or that he should. He was saved when his best friend Jalil, a stark white male that was a few years older then him, came up to rescue him by helping him down.

Having made a fool of himself he sulked for a rather long time until Jalil came and with a rather hard smack to the face snapped him out of it and cheered him up. After that he stopped being so reckless and started to behave more, this is when he took up the hobby of showing off in other ways. By beating people at mind teasers and word games.

Years later during a practice hunt in the winter with Jalil and several over young males an accident happened that changed what he wanted to become when he got older, as he originally wanted to be a warrior. As they stalked and hunted a smaller Tarso they closed in for the kill bolting towards it, it of corse ran and starts to make some frantic noises like it was calling for something, Jalil and Mal where closing in on the smaller Tarso being the fastest two just as a larger Tarso burst from the bushes to defend his mate. He struck Jalil first giving Malo enough time to avoid the worse of the hit, his friend though was tramped as well as getting hit by the horns on the tip of its nose, leaving his back broken as his side bleeding heavily. Malo rushed over as the Tarso ran off the other Akuren in pursuit still. He could do nothing to help his friend as he slowly died in the snow his white body covered in red. He felt useless and weak as the light faded with Jalil's eyes and his body went limp in the snow.

After that day he had vowed he would become a healer so he would loose no one like that again. He trained as hard as he could to get to where he is as a healer, the day he got his mask necklace and tail bands he got the feathers that had been meant for Jalil who had been training to be a healer as a token of remembrance to his dear departed friend.
