Name:
Jager- Hunter in Dutch

75 Years

Male

Bharal Horns
Marking Types:
Tiger

Western

Dead, but they were noble warriors.
Personality:
Jager is quiet, and stealthy. Sometimes, he doesn't even talk for days! When he hunts, he's often gone for hours on end, but returns with fat and healthy game, because of his patience. He doesn't talk, because of his past and he is scarred from it. Literally. He doesn't talk much about it, but some say that his stripes on his fur are actually scars, from another before he joined the Western Tribe.
Three Things about the Isnaroh:
- Their leader is both a leader and a 'medicine wolf'.
- There are hunters and warriors. They are NOT the same thing.
- The trainees have a necklace with gems that match their eyes.
Story:
The night was dark and wet. It had just rained on the Northern plains. Three figures of the Isnaroh moved across the plains. One carried a small bundle, who was mewling and whining in its sleep.
"What shall we do, Drave?" A female asked, turning to a male.
"I don't know, Xer." He answered, looking at the female in the middle, carrying the pup. "We must get him to safety, before they find us." The middle Isnaroh nodded, and said through the fur in her mouth,
"We mush find a plash for thish pup to resth." Drave chuckled as her words came out deformed,
"I agree, Hearth. I smell a group of trees ahead, we should rest there." Hearth trotted ahead, excited to put the bundle down which she was carrying. They reached the trees quickly and the female placed the pup gently on the ground, and curled herself around it, to keep the night chill out. The other two laid down next to her as well. Drave looked at the two females in sadness. "I'm sorry we had to leave like that." He barked, looking down.
"Drave, it wasn't your fault!" Hearth, his mate, said, touching his paw gently.
"Yes!" Xer answered, "It's those accursed Sorith. They killed our tribe, and were the only ones left, and you know they don't like leaving survivors." Drave knew all too well. Their enemy, the Sorith, were ruthless tough-skinned creatures which seemed to be created for the soul purpose to kill them. The small pupling, was whining in the cold, regardless of the shared warmth that Hearth gave to him. Xer stared nervously at him, shaking in the cold herself. Drave gathered the two females closer together, and stood in front of them, blocking out the harsh winds.
"Drave, you can't stand there all night! You'll get a chill!" Hearth said, worriedly. Drave looked back and smiled,
"I'm the alpha now. I can't let my mate get subdued to the cold, can't I?" He looked forward, and searched for any trespassers. Hearth nudged the small pupling, and licked him to keep the blood flowing. She soon fell asleep, her head resting on top of the pup. Xer's head was tucked under Hearth's back and her tail covered Hearth's paws. Drave still stood, keeping watch. The snow had started falling in great heaps a little while ago. His dark fur was covered with large snowflakes, but his eyes still searched. His drive was to protect his family, no matter what. This pup, he had to protect as well, he was his only hope. Soon, he too fell asleep keeping the two females warm.

When dawn had broken, you wouldn't have guessed it had happened. The sky was dark with clouds, and the ground was covered with thick snow. The three Isnaroh awoke to find themselves buried in the deep snows of the night. Drave awoke first, and uncovered the other Isnarohs. Hearth awoke second, and looked at the pup worriedly. She sighed,
"Good. He's alright." She picked him up and set him on top of the snow. He walked around, enjoying the red snow. Hearth stood and shook the snow off her fur, and turned to look at Xer. She was still, her lifeless body cold in the snow. "No! Xer!" Hearth fell, licking her face, trying to revive her. Drave looked at Xer and lowered his head,
"She was a good friend, a even better warrior, but she had served her life. She was taken by Death." Hearth's face was ripped with sadness, she buried her face in her cold, lifeless fur. Drave licked her cheek affectionately.
"Hearth?" A small voice asked, as the pup walked up to them, "Why is Xer so still?" Hearth glared at the pup,
"You wouldn't understand, whelp." She turned to grieve in her friend's fur, while Drave walked the pupling away from the dead.
"You know, this life isn't the only thing we have to worry about." Drave said to the pup, eyes wide.
"What?" He asked, trotting along.
"Yes! We have an afterlife too. And sometimes, some Isnaroh meet it sooner than others." Drave said, looking out across the vast landscape before them. The mountain was tall that they were standing upon, and they could see everything. The green lands of the west were laid out in front of them in all its spender.
"That's what happened to Xer." The pup said, looking at a distant forest. Drave nodded,
"Yes, pup. You are very bright for your age." The pup didn't answer. He knew all along that she was dead. He had to learn early in his life what death meant.
"My parents encountered it too." He looked up at Drave, "Didn't they?" Drave didn't look at him, and didn't answer right away.
"The trees have children too. Their seeds drop and buried themselves in the earth. They spring up, without knowing who their parents are." he turned to the pup and said, "You are like the sapling. You will never know who your parents were, are, or will be. But, make them proud." He sniffed the air suddenly, and growled, "Sorith." He picked up the pup, and rushed back to where Hearth was. "We have to move! Sorith!" Hearth stood, but hesitated. She quickly covered Xer's body, and ran after Drave. The wide landscape uncovered before them, as they emerged from the trees. They continued to run, without looking back.
