Yeah, I know it's a bit jampacked- but when is it ever not when doing redlining? Okay, so I took the wanted positions, standing (pawview), full leg standing, stepping, and laying down, and I did BOTH back and front. Because they are different. I also added some general fur directions to show how the fur is for the legs and how the mane overlaps it (Yus, I call it a mane, fluffy neck ftw)
I've also additional paw shap, muscle view of the back leg's ankle (To shiw you why the line is there), general line help on the front paw (it gets a little noticably narrower towards the bottom of the leg). vAnd also some walking movement help to show how the legs bend in what step. There are some additional pointers to your sketch to help you fix what was more noticably needing help. If you can't read the pink, I'll add them here;
Standing Sketch;
Curve it
Too Steep
Laying Down;
Needs to be rounded more
Stepping:
Can't tell which leg
(Which means you need to define your curves more- I can't tell if it's supposed to be the front or back leg If it is the front, you are missing a joint near the paw)
Make your paws more BOX like
(You can see the pawshape diagram for aditional help)
Full Leg Standing;
Too rounded
(The join there is more pointed like the tip of a triangle, the fur also follows this general direction)
Too Steep
(the 'ankle' part is too steep, it should mold into the leg more smoothly- there is also a bump there from the bone ligament)
General Shape;
Smoother Curves
(There are lots of rough angles, try to make them more curvy so it flows more)
I hope this helps you and other people with wolf legs and paws and movement. Any questions? Go ahead and ask! I don't bite. :3 Only my vampire OC's do.
EDIT: ALSO, I dunno how to spell dueclaw!! Dewclaw....dueclaw... duclaw... declaw.... .-. bleh
