I like it. You just need to work on the backround and shading. But I don't think this belongs here quiet yet.

Sorry, but I don't think this is quite intermediate yet. It doesn't have enough detail, and most intermediate drawings have a lot of detail. The paws are much too big for the scrawny body, and the head is a bit too small. And, the tears aren't very 'teary'. One last thing; I think you should use different layers.... that way you can color over the lines and not alter them.
