Fun with layers and opacity.
Or rather, not so fun. This was a nightmare and a half. None of the colors worked in a way that I wanted them to.

This was a request made by a user by the name of Stripey. I don't know why I did it, I usually charge for this kind of stuff XD
NO, YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO MAIL ME WITH REQUESTS, KTHNX. I've had enough of that this week.
(But if you're interested in a commission, I may be able to do something about that.)

But all joking aside, (I'm not joking about the mailing with requests thing. Please don't do it.) when she showed me these two, I just fell in love with them and for some reason, this scene came rushing to me. I couldn't wait to get started.
I do hope that everything's to your liking.

Anyway, this took forever and a day. Some things could be better, but I can't be bothered to fix them at this point. I hope that you can enjoy it anyway.

Edit: Can't believe I derped like that. COMPLETELY forgot the bubbles and to add the glow around the treasure. Also one of my water layers was apparently turned off by accident.
But perhaps it's better now. XD
Edit 2: I realized that it didn't make much since for the flag to be in such a pristine condition. I think it stands out a bit more now, too.
Also messed around with the layers to make the shirt pattern more visible amongst a few other minor edits. I don't know if I'll ever be happy with this. XD

Well, the ref I got had a different shirt color than other refs that I found and I got confused. XD Amongst other issues, but I know that I'm very self critical. ^^;;

Yeah....I'd never drawn an otter before. XD Nor a manta ray so it was a bit difficult. Thanks for letting me know that the otter isn't easily identifiable. :3 I shall work on that in the future~
And thank you so much about the water. I can tell you right now about two hours of this was spent just trying to figure out how to get the water layers to work how I wanted them. x.x Lots of print screening and sending to a friend so he could help out with that.
The rest of that was spent trying to make the reds still look like reds. D=< The colors look really weird and super saturated without the filter.

Anyway, I'm rambling now. XD The point is, thank you. And though there are still quite a few errors, a lot of work still went into it. x3
