Entry number two- decided to make a female. You'll notice that both Jovanna and Ùisdean share a story- I hope that's alright. I probably won't get both of them, although I'd love to see their pups ^^ Anynway, my small ref. is found here. Not any specific type of fox... just a black one.

With a stretch I watched the sunrise from my den mouth. It was comforting... serene. Almost unreal. I hadn't ever stopped to just want a sunrise or sunset before. Perhaps I had many years ago, but as of recently? I just hadn't had the time. I was becoming an adult, taking on responsibilities I'd never had to deal with before- finding my own food, making my own home, fending for myself from predators... it was a tedious job. How my parents ever managed to take care of themselves and my siblings and me was just amazing.
I was up early, but I didn't feel any fatigue- I had finished my den only a few night prior, and had rested up since then. I would have liked another day to rest- my bones and muscles still ached from the strenuous activites -by my body had other plans. I needed food, or I was going to starve.
With a final shake of my fur and body, I began my way down to the lake edge. The crisp morning air felt cool in my lungs, and felt wonderful winding through my fur.
Once at the edge of the water, I took a deep breath and looked down into my reflection.
Water.
Sad to say, I think I was the only Aquatic Fox who refused to dive into the water for my food. How I had managed to survive up until this moment rested solely in my parents. Although they knew I'd be leaving, they still fetched me food while I stood on the waters edge, trying in vain to catch a fish.
Why so afraid? My eye sight. I had been born with heterochromia, meaning I had two different eye colors, but that did little to nothing to my eye sight. For some reason, I had just been born that way. I could see shapes and colors just fine, but in the dark... nothing. Shadows were my only comfort. So imagine what it must be like at the bottom of the lake? No... I tried one, and almost died. Nothing in the world would get me down in that water.
A splash of water covered me in an instant- I had no warning what so ever.
"Hey!"
I looked over to the fox that had just carelessly jumped into the lake without surveying his surroundings. Unfortunately, I supposed this idiot was my neighbor.
"Sorry!"
He called back, but I just glared back at him. Once he had dived, I began to groom my fur dry. How unsettling- I didn't even like the feel of water... what kind of creature was I?
By the time I was dry, and was concentrating on catching a fish, the male who had splashed me one again returned.
"You know... you're never going to catch a fish like that." He told me, awkwardly walking to the bank with his arms full.
I flashed another dirty look his way before once again looking down at my reflection. He was right, though...
Smack!
I jolted as a gleaming silver fish hit the side of my face and then slid to the ground where the other one landed.
With a snarl, I looked in my neighbors way who looked apologetic.
My snarl turned into surprise as I looked down at the fish. He was giving them to me?
"Thanks..." I mummbled, sniffing one of them.
"Nno pwobwem!" He mummbled around his fish, carrying the rest up to his den.
Ùisdean and I slowly became friends after that. I told him my problem, and he offered to catch me fish. In return, I'd help the poor soul with cleaning his den.
It wasn't an easy task though- he was quite the slob with his fish bones...

-Restless. Jovi wants to explore the world- more than she is able to. She longs to see all she can see before her time is up on this world
-Logical. Jovanna is one to follow her mind, not her heart. If she comes across anything impossible, Jovi puts her logic to the playing field first. Everything else- heart, friends, family -comes second.
-Confident. Jovanna is pretty confident in herself, once she gets to know the others around her- it takes a few minutes, but when she's put up to a task, she's confident she can finish it no matter what.
-Bossy. Jovanna doesn't like being a follower. She doesn't enjoy bossing others around- she just knows it's easier that way. Some may not like it, but if she doesn't take over and tell others what to do, nothing will get done.
-Shy. At first Jovanna can be quite shy toward others- although she doesn't exactly show it like most. Instead of being afriad of those she's just antiquated, she gets quite mean. This is just a reaction she's had all her life.

-Heterocromia is a rare trait found in Aquatic Foxs' (Hers wasn't a random gene problem- it actually runs in her family. Every once in a while, there will be one out of a litter with this problem, including herself, her uncle, one of her great grandparents, etc.)
