He sighed, holding her close to him. "What's wrong, Riy?"
Tears fell down her tan-colored cheeks. "Furan b-b-broke up w-with m-me." she stuttered.
He looked down. "You deserve someone much better than him." he murmured.
"L-like w-w-who?" she sobbed.
"Like me--" he started out strong, but stopped. "Like Meysti." he muttered.
"He h-has a g-g-girlfriend..." she nuzzled her head up into my fur, her eyes closed. "I-I don't w-wanna be al-l-lone."
Good thing her eyes were closed. She didn't see the tears in his. "Yeah. Me neither." he whispered.
If only she knew.
