Since when do mountain lions eat horses?

The Mountain lion is a coward, and prefers to hunt small, safe animals that do not kick. It is not hunting the horse. The horse is it's best friend, it's only companion. The other lions have shunned it due to it's abnormal nature.

By the way, I love how dreamy this is. Reminds me of Luna

And I forgot to tell you, my favorite Harry potters are number 4 and up. Number 3 is ok too, I guess

mountain lions have always hunted pretty much anything that moves...including horses.
but it can be special. yes i kept it dreamy on purpose.

and luna is one of my fav hp characters.

good choice. i think the overall opinion is : Horse lives/escapes. Lion finds another inncent creature to eat.
