Spirit of the Valley was a poem I wrote about a black horse who ruled over a valley. I wrote it when I was in 5th grade, so it's not very good, but here's a snippet of it:

'Taking the water
Taking the fire
Take the energy
Out of the land

The grass is lush
The lakes deep blue
The rivers gush
The black horse stands'
