Well, I saw that a bunch of people were making their own species of animal, so I figured I should too. What I have come up with is basically a wolf-like creature, that has spikes going down it's neck and back, and spikes on it's head and shoulders. It's eyes, and the tips of it's spikes change color when their mood changes. They don't sound like wolves at all. They sort of 'sing', like coyotes, only they have many different melodies. Some say they talk to each other with their many melodies.

Name considerations:

Ominotago - pleasent voice (Chippewa)
Zamir - good voice (Albanian)
Kalliope - beautiful voice (Greek)
Kanti - sings (Algonquin)
Manjula - melodious, pleasing (Hindi)

If anybody has any name suggestions, please tell me. I would like their name to have a meaning that describes them.

Eye/Spike Tip Colors:

Red = Angry
Blue = Happy
Green = Calm
Purple = Passion
Grey = Nervous
Orange = Scared

Can be more than one color, showing that it is feeling more than one emotion.

I have to agree with Bk13: I want one too. They look so nice. <3 =D
Maybe Inune? It's Japanese. It means: Inu: Dog (of any kind) and Ne: Sound.
If not that, maybe Inukyoku? Which means: Dog, of course and Kyoku: Song/s.
But if you don't like those, I really like Zamir. It sounds mysterious. At least to me. -w-

I think its going to go far. Nya, and if you need help, I'm pretty good at wolves (( Well, at least my current style is. My older oekaki's show my older style. An example of my current style is the first oekaki in my oekaki list thingy, just pointing that out x3 )) and would be happy to help
