A twist on a common excuse given to teachers for missing homework: "My dog ate my homework".
Practicing 'crayon' effect. There is a ref, but it is something from a comic book I saw years ago. I couldn't find it on the internet but if anyone sees something like this (even though mine looks very different than the original) please post it; I would be most grateful!

My Homework Ate My Dog

Three of my favorite pastimes.
Three things I stand for in accordance with the Bible.
Three things that have affected my life.

Mark 12:28-31 (NIV) wrote:"Of all the commandments,
which is the most important?"
"The most important one,"
answered Jesus, "is this:
'LOVE the Lord your God
with all your HEART
and with all your SOUL
and with all your MIND
and with all your STRENGTH.'
The second is this:
'LOVE your neighbor as yourself.'
There is no commandment
greater than these."
