My Brave Knight

Postby s y n » Fri Apr 15, 2011 10:35 am

This is my fursona, Phalanx. There's a little story along with this one. Phlanx is the male, the grey-blue one. The female is a royal empress named Esmir.

As I peeked in, a caught site of the beautiful empress I was sent to guard. I gulped, staring in awe. She was a curvy violet she-wolf. She had a heart on her eye, and two crescents on that heart. I noted the studs in her ears and flicked my own, noting that the resembled mine slightly. She wore a rose-colored billowing dress that positively accented her slim shape. Her long, bushy tail curved over her back, and a golden necklace hung from her neck. Her fur shimmered as if it had never been dirty in her life. "Esmir," I whispered to myself, remembering to remember her name. She turned around, casting her full-shine navy blue eyes at me before I had a chance to slip away. Great. She'd seen her guard standing there, decked out in weapons and armor, staring and drooling like some idiot.

I slipped in, instantly pulling my tongue back into my maw so as to preserve some self-dignity. I fell to my knees in a bow, and when I stood, she wore a smile, her eyes checking me over. "I am the knight who has been chosen to accompany you today, Your Highness."

Esmir seemed to like what she saw. "And what is your name, brave knight?"

"Phalanx, miss." I replied. I could tell by the way she shifted her ears that she liked the sound of my deep, alluring monotone voice. I hadn't ever thought of it as deep or alluring, but I'd been told more than once, so I assumed it was true.

"Pleasure to meet you, sir Phalanx. May I thank you in advance for having your company to keep me safe today." the Empress replied. My ears drooped dreamily. I swore she had the voice of an angel, almost like she was singing in a beautiful semi-sweet soprano.

I chuckled with a light smile. "My pleasure, Your Highness." she gave me a look that asked for me not to address her as such. An empress wanting to be referred to as just her name? That was odd. No "Your Majesty" or "Your Highness"? I hadn't encountered royalty like this before. "Ladies first, Your--" I paused, winking out of flirtatious impulse, "Esmir." I finished, grinning stupidly. She had a marriage already set up for her, what was I thinking? Sure, she didn't get a choice, but I'm sure she liked the guy or else she wouldn't put up with it... I shook my head, clearing such thoughts.

By the end of the day, we had gone out into the meadow. We were sitting there, or rather I was standing guard, her singing an almost painfully beautiful and mesmorizing tune with even more mythical lyrics. Birds joined in, enchanted by her presence like I was.

"Isn't it just so beautiful out here, Phalanx?" Esmir said wonderfully, standing in front of me, but oddly close. I almost stepped back, but really didn't want to.

I nodded with a light smile. "May I say that your singing is very lovely, also, Miss." I replied sweetly. I was expecting her to blush or thank me, but instead I felt her velvety tongue stroke across my cheek. A wild blush rose to my cheeks.

"It's a perfect day." Esmir whispered, her nose against my cheek.

A one of a kind day, I wanted to reply. But really, this wasn't the first time I'd had royalty attracted to me. For me, this was just another day in the life of a guard. But, I replied as if it wasn't. "Yes, quite. A day unlike any other." I wasn't sure if it was a good quality or not, but luckily, I was a good liar.

"My brave, handsome knight?"

I hesitated, but nodded, again lying, though my voice was convincing.
"Your brave knight."
