"a very steep bank or slope" as a noun and "erode a hillside so that it becomes steep"; this little guy has lots of natural markings and colours, plus if you were to cut into a hillside you would get browns/greys like this guy has! also could lead into who he is like if he was sharp and arrogant but that was eroded and he became much open and friends after becoming friends with a certain goobie... i'm sure he'd still have a bit of sarcasm and sharpness to his tongue, but not to an antagonistic extent!
