Im doing this because lately ive seen things like the diabeties cat or on family guy they did a bit on a man who beat his wife.

Im here to say diabetes is not funny, this condition is serious.

there are two types
type 1 is juvinile diabetes, its genetic.My two year old son has it.
It;s when a important organ,the pancreas stops producing insulin.
what is insulin?
its the chemical that lets your body use what you eat as fuel , without insulin you can eat and eat but your cells will starve, the sugar in your blood rises its like having broken glass in your viens,it causes your body to use fat and mucle as fuel instead making you lose alot of wieght , wich is bad because it makes acid in the process. like when you run really hard and it burns...thats ACID. and in diabetics it stays there. it makes you thirsty. because your body tries to get rid of the acid by flushing the system with water. its a thirst that never goes away. this is insulin dependantcy. people witht his condition need several shots a day. after every meal or snack , when your sick with a cold its worse and these people also need to test thier blood sugar level many times a day it should be under 100.without insulin the sugar and acid in your blood will eventually cause your organs to fail and will make you blind, it will damage your brain making it hard to think,learn or remember. you can't catch it.i want to make this abundantly clear.
these people are born with a pancreas that is doomed. it may work for a year like with my son or it may work until your 10 or 13. nobody knows why it stopos working and there isnt a cure.it DOES shorten the person's life and it can make you very very sick.my boy nikolai has been in and out of the hospitol since we found out he had it.
i wont drone on about type two but that type is caused by being overwieght.

I just wanted to say that it is in no way funny and without modern medicine my baby would have died only a year old. so please take it seriously ,and thank you for reading.

My mom has diabetes and I cannot tell you howlucky I am to not have type 1. I have at least 2 members from each side of my family with diabetes. Your right, it's not funny. Its a serious condition that can kill.

Its nice to know that someone cares about type 1 Diabetics all over the news its "Type 2 this Type 2 that" I was diagnosed with type 1 at the age of 12. It does suck having it, but I learnt to live with it. And I continue doing the things I enjoy.

EDIT: When I was first diagnosed, I would spend every lunchtime in the office, because I was always have a hypo.

Agreed. This girl from my old school has diabetes, and I don't know if it's 1 or 2. Every day in lunch, the nurse would stay with her.

Usually kids can only get type 1, so most likely it was type 1.
