Amber's No Good, Very Sad Start to Autumn

Amber was bullied into wearing a coat and scarf the second the leaves began to turn orange. She already has a thick coat -- she was dying of the heat this summer -- so she found it incredibly unfair that she was forced to wear a dark colored coat and a scarf on top of that.

She can survive that, she decided half-heartedly just to get her siblings off her back. After fixing up her unruly hair, finding her reading glasses, and picking a hat to explore in, she left the cave to being documenting the change of seasons.

When coming across a pile of pumpkins that a family of mice were making their homes in, she got startled by hawk overhead and dropped her journal! Everything went all over the place and she had to stop what she was doing to begin collecting everything. She grumbled about it the entire time and wished that she had just stayed home and dealt with her siblings being their annoying selves instead of going out and potentially losing all her work.

Well, as it turns out, this change in plans seemed to be for the better . . .
