After months, Scratch found Shane. He had establsihed a kingdom by now with an army of wolves. Shane immediately set Beast on them, but Cliff bravely pushed him into the lake, but Cliff was dragged in with him. Neither dog resurfaced. Scratch cried out in despair. Cliff had often joked about dying, but he never actually thought it'd happen. Shane then set the pack on them, and Forest, even though outnumbered, held them back. Scratch leaped for Shane and gave him a slash across the neck. He turned around to see Forest disappearing under the wolves. In that moment of distraction, Shane used his last breath to kill Scratch. Valentino sent Aphrodite a vision, of Scratch walking away, his pelt studded with stars, while Star welcomed him, saying you did well, son.

And as his world turned black he remembered with love,
