it may seem cliche, but it's cliche for a reason -- the best valentine's gift is just
a quiet night in with sasha's boyfriend, griffin. this is particularly special because sasha and
his partner live in a particularly harsh world: survival in a post-apocalyptic setting typically
means no days off. for griffin to find a warm sleeping bag, a light source, a safe place
and a good book -- and for him to say "hey, let's not do anything today" -- is perhaps the most
romantic gesture that sasha could think of... even if griffin will only ever read practical nonfiction.

(and to think he wasn't much of a reader before meeting griffin; boy have things changed!)
