Came out via a joke to a specific group of my friends and they just didn't care (in a good way) and started rolling jokes out with me ^-^

I never actually properly came out as Ace to my Parents but Mom found out and without prompting just started defending me to the family members who thought I should get married and have kids. She never outed me just told them to mind their own.

I finally met someone who made me feel utterly and truly accepted. I met my now girlfriend of almost seven months at the start of the last school year. Shes always made me feel accepted with my changing gender, pronouns, and names. But she said something to me that made me so happy it almost brought me to tears. Ive never had someone tell me they truly accepted me until she spent almost twenty minutes telling me she would love me no matter what my name was or how I identified. It made me feel so accepted and happy.

P is for Pariah

In my senior year of high school, I was a candystriper at a local hospital as part of a vo-tech program I was in - I was originally assigned to work with the phlebotomist, but he decided he wanted me to branch out and see other areas of the hospital, so he'd send me to other departments to shadow and/or assist different doctors and technicians.
Every department I went to, I made friends - the volunteer office ladies adored me because I was quick and efficient at sorting papers, the lab techs were all very enthusiastic about showing me what they do, I really hit it off with the patients in physical therapy - and I even befriended a fellow volunteer who was a WWII veteran who would go out of his way to hang out with me during his breaks and chat!
They all made me feel extremely welcome and appreciated during a time in my life when I was trying to navigate the stress of becoming an adult / figuring out what to do with my life, and it meant so much to me because I was always one of the "weird kids" that no one really got - I credit them with teaching me a lot about how to navigate social situations too, because they helped me come out of my shell more than I ever had at that point

I went to a folk festival with a close friend of mine for a week and the atmosphere there for the full week was something I truly cannot describe better than the most accepting place ever <3

i went to a concert a little while ago and the environment there was so incredibly accepting. everyone was looking out for and supporting each other, and i just felt so connected to everyone through the music :>

I went at ate lunch on the beach with my co-workers. They invited me and the conversation flowed so well, it felt like I belonged

I went on a trip a few years ago with some friends from far away and had such an amazing time that when it ended I went though a rough bit of depression. ; o ; (All good now of course no worries lol)

The places I think where I've felt truly accepted was among friends, those that understood what I was going through and didn't shame me for struggling sometimes. <3
