Standing in front of a small pet shop, Bakugo looked through the window at little puppies that yipped and barked at him from the other side. He didn't really know what drew him here, but he felt compelled to buy something now that he was at the pet shop. Being the number 2 hero, he was getting a bit of a crowd behind him, as citizens excitedly whispered to one another. They never knew that the number 2 hero would ever be at a place this.
Ignoring their whispers, Bakugo headed inside. The little bell above the door jingled as the door pushed forward. The pet shop owner turned to greet him, but gasped, "O..Oh! Welcome sir! Anything I can help you with?", he stammered out as Bakugo looked around the shop before putting a hand on the counter. The shop owner looked up at the hero and slightly gulped, due to his nervousness. It felt like hours went by before Bakugo finally spoke, spooking the pet shop owner. "I need a pet-", he stated as he looked around once again. "But not just any pet. Something that says 'I'm always gonna be there'.", He looked at the shop owner who seemed a bit surprised. Bakugo tapped his foot becoming slightly impatient. He slammed the palm of his hand on the counter, making sure to not cause any damage with his quirk. The shop owner jumped but nodded, "Ah y..yes! I think we have a few pets that fit what your looking for sir!" He scrambled over to the puppies and picked one up. He brought it back to Bakugo,letting him hold it.
Bakugo stared down at the little puppy as it barked happily at him. But he didn't feel like this was right. He handed the pup back to the shop owner. "Nah, not interested in puppies. What else you got here?", he leaned against the counter as the shop owner placed the puppy back. With his red eyes, Bakugo watched as the shop owner crossed over to some kittens. He came back with one and handed it to him. Holding up the kitten, Bakugo inched his face close to it, to look at it better and the kitten hisses and swipes at his nose. "GAH!", He gives the kitten back to the shop owner. So getting a kitten was a no-go for him. Bakugo let out a frustrated sigh, "Ugh..this was a waste of my time! I don't even know why I came in here the first place d*mn it!", he shoved his hands in his pockets. His fingers brushed against the photo in one of his pockets. Pulling it out, he smiled. On it was a picture of a girl holding onto him. Her fairy wings shimmered so brightly in this photo. Just like her smile too. It was his favorite picture they took together. The shop owner suddenly picked up on why the number 2 hero was in his pet shop. He walked to a section of his shop that many people don't really go over too, cause they most of the time want a puppy or a kitten. Hell, even his birds he sold here got more sells than these little ones. But he brought over the little fluff ball anyway.
Putting the photo away as the shop owner approached him, Bakugo looked at what he held. "What are you doing with a bunny?" he asked him as the shop owner stopped in front of him. Smiling, the man held the bunny to him, "I think this is what you came looking for.", he said as handing Bakugo the bunny to hold. Looking down at the small creature, Bakugo could feel the sense of peace the little one brought. The bunny looked up at him and stood in his hands. He locked eyes with the bunny and felt that this was the right pet to buy. The shop owner had already gone and got a few things for the bunny and something for Bakugo to carry it in. After getting checked out, the shop owner escorted Bakugo to the door. Before opening it, he smiled, "She must be special if you came in here to buy just the right pet.", Bakugo looked at him for a second, but then nodded.
"Yeah, I suppose your right. She means everything to me."
The sound of the jingling bell is heard as Bakugo leaves the pet shop.
