Concept is that they're a clan formed and mainly populated by cats who have been exiled from other clans. They're a relatively new clan, only on their second generation, and still fighting to be recognized as a real clan. (Which... seeing as they still happily take in wanted criminals and still mainly consist of them too, with only one cat born into the clan and some kits on the way... kinda fair?) The Sage- part of their name comes from their founder, Sagefur, who was killed in battle before they'd been able to get their nine lives. They also happily take in cats who are unhappy with their clans rules, as well as any loners/rogues who feel unwelcomed by them.
