Falconpaw was born in the middle of the Great War between Sandclan and Rockclan. Both of his parents were killed in the war, leaving him and his sister, Lionpaw, behind. Despite Lionpaw being his only remaining family, Falconpaw finds it difficult to get close to his sister.

Falconpaw is a bit of a flirt but with only one she-cat his age in the clan, his attentions are often turned to the female apprentices of Sandclan. Despite his flirtatiousness, Falconpaw is a tragic flirt with no skills whatsoever. He will give his best attempt at a flirt but fail miserably and become defensive when he does. When his jokes don't land or his advances aren't reciprocated, he will get offended easily and prickly.
