The darkness laps at my feet...
I feel it at the edge...it's not far away...
Remember when it was far away?
now i only have to step outside to see what i've done...
As the darkness creeps closer, i can see only blackness...
I could look past it...but i would have to go into it...
And i'm afraid of what i'll see...what you will see, what the world will see...
I remember when i could come up with an excuse for what i do...what i've done...
Now the only excuse i have is this darker side to me...
That darker side has grown stronger...i can now see it in myself...
I can no longer blind side it...
The blood i see when i wake, reminds me of what i do...
What could i possibly do to deserve this?...
Oh...but i already know...

If you are, you should know...this darker side is just the power inside me i can't control...
I will never control it...
Because this person, this thing, i hate so much...is me....
