Love.
Such a fickle thing.
Such an obscure feeling.
So complicated.
A concept gobs like me have a hard time understanding.
A feeling that belongs to mortals.
A feeling that a few of us has managed to find.
A feeling that, by pure chance, i managed to find.
"So this is love? Hmm-mmm So this is love?"Everything around had always been so beautiful to me.
A masterpiece, the gobs' magnum opus.
Incomparable to anything, since it was everything.
Until I saw them.
The most wonderful mortal i had ever seen.
My sun, my stars.
My heaven and hell, my doom.
My entire being collapsed at the sight of such a beautiful being.
Never in my entire time spent watching the goobies had i encountered someone like this.
What is this?
What... is this feeling?
Why do i feel- different. Unnatural.
I turned to face them again.
I, of course, went unnoticed.

Is this how mortals feel?
Is this what they call
'Love?'
It couldn't be! A gob, falling over a mortal? The thought seemed impossible.
But I felt a flutter in my chest, my face heat up everytime i turned to look at them.
And I felt alive everytime i heard them laugh.
Everytime i saw them happy, i was happy.
And soon, i found myself following them.
I didnt even know their name.
They seemed to know everyone, and everyone seemed to know them.
In desperation, i got closer everytime the talked with another goo.
And i heard it.
Ashley.
Ashley Rosemary.
For the first time in what now felt like eons, I couldn't breathe.
She was a sun ray walking amongst everyone else, an ever bright light that made its way inside my heart and invaded my face with a reddish glow, she was my sun.
I had to see her closer.
I had to meet her.
But how could a gob approach a goobie so effortlessly?
I couldn't just go there out of nowhere, i'll cause a panic.
They'll think im a bringer of bad news or impending doom.
...but would that really matter?
Would it?
The snow crunched lightly under her paws.
Her 'imperfect' plan. Really simple, honestly.
Just go. She knew where shed be. She just had to go.
It was the middle of winter, most goobies were staying in or distracted playing in the snow.
Most importantly, everyone had big fluffy coats and jackets, hoodies and blankets.
Her excuse for a disguise.
Or, the closest she could get to one.
She walked near the candy filled shop.
It was almost closing hour.
The sun would be out soon. Both of them.
Ashley walked out, closing her shop and taking a big breath.
It was always busy in winter, especially near christmas.
Suddenly, someone walked up to her.
"Hhhey there." Said a shaky voice under a coat.
"Oh! Hello, i dont think i ever seen you in town before, are you new here?"
The nervous gob continued. "I- yeah! I am. Im.. kind of lost, being honest."
"OuH! Yeah that happens 'round here a lot, 's a pretty big place. Whats your name?"
The gob of brood paused for a second.
A name, think of a name.She had never had a name, she was usually referred to as Brood.
So she blurted out what came first to mind.
"Ophelia!" "My- my names Ophelia."
"Ophelia huh? Thats a nice name! Mine is Ashley, or Rosemary. Whichever you prefer, Oph.
A nice name.
Oph.She had already biven her a nickname.
Oph.The gob had been following Rosemary all around the town, looking at their surroundings carefully.
Seems like no one had noticed her yet.
As Rose kept on with her tour, Ophelia could only really focus on the sound of her voice.
How melodic it was.
She was fully engulfed in it. It felt like she was underwater.
And then, Ashley grabbed her hand.
And she immediately zoned back in.
The mortal was dragging her somewhere excitedly.
"Look!" She pointed excitedly at a giant pine tree, surrounded by hundreds upon hundreds of flowers at its base.
The tree was beautiful.
It was covered in ribbons and
Ophelia was mesmerized.
She looked up to see the giant star at the top.
And her hood fell down.
And she heard a gasp.
Rosemary looked at the gob in shock, recognizing the one with a moon in their face.
Ophelia pulled her hood back up, and looked down trembling.
"You-"
"I know.
I swear i do not come to cause any trouble or warn any apocalypse, i just wanted to talk to you."
"To me?" Ashley said nervously.
"Maybe."
The mortal sighed nervously, and hesitated on taking Ophelia's paw again, but she did, and once again she started to drag her around.
"Then we should to somewhere else. Somewhere where we wont cause a commotion."
The gob followed her silently, thinking of what to say.
She had expected to have backed out since the beggining, never thought of the possibility of getting this far.
They arrived at a small cottage, and Rosemary opened the door.
"Is this your house?"
"It is.
Well, tell me, what do you have for me, Brood?
Why must you talk to me?"
"I stated i didn't mean in a warning.
I just really wanted to talk"
"What do you mean?"
Ophelia sighed.
"Ive been watching this town for a while, and you always stood out to me. Tou were special"
"Special?"
"Very special.
I believe
I believe i have fallen in love with you, mortal."
2- Why does their moon face change phases?
Such as the sun loves the moon, the moon loves the sun, and it will follow it everywhere it goes.
Usually, it followed the sun, just as the shadows and lights in the moon did.
But recently, she found it also started following Her Sun. Seemingly, strong emotions caused a connection between the small moon and the thing that is part of the bond, making the moon follow it too. Just like if it was the sun.
And for her, it was.
There was nothing brighter than Ashley in her life.
