weve all met one.
a pony/horse who is tired, old, and is the farthest from a 10,000 dollar show horse that anything could possibly be. But somehow, they have the most wisdom and kindness to give out of anyone. Unfortunately they are not always given the respect and love that they deserve.

This is very nice. Makes me think of some really good memories. 😌
One of the first horses I rode was a flaxen-haired chestnut gelding named Oakey. Oakey’s previous owners had caused him to have what my teacher called a “tough mouth” meaning that the bit in his mouth was not used gently and he therefore didn’t really mind it all the time because he couldn’t be sure what was yanking and what was directions. Idk if that’s fixable but needless to say, I got pretty well muscled shoulders for being a little kid at the time and was sure to never yank on reins. He was a good guy. Loved food. It’s always the chubby ones lol.
