Prompt: Flamewind says both him and Cowspot remind her of the moon cycle. At first, it made him feel closer to her. It did sound poetic, in a way. Eventually he found out she said it to Cowspot as well, and being very young, this hurt him a lot. He couldn't really explain why, but it did. He held this against Cowspot for a while. Around the time he got his warrior name, he realized the grudge was petty and meaningless. After all, isn't it great that two cats could be a reminder of something so meaningful? Nowadays, they are actually pretty close! (101 words)

John is a plenty common name… too common in his opinion. Sure it’s not the most important thing he has to deal with, but when possible he tries to avoid telling people his name… its just so boring. He’s like a top line government agent- he stands on the brink of the universes end, he stands between the life and death of billions… “John” just doesn’t seem to embrace that vibe.
Now for such a common name he’s met surprisingly few of them but… there’s one this so called “hero, savior of a distance galaxy” and he is the most basic, boring man that he’s ever met, setting a bad name for all of johnkind! Who would rather work a boring janitorial job than save the universe. He knows it’s petty and unimportant and the names should have nothing to do with it, but he feels ashamed to share his name with such a man.

From the other Johns point of view it’s a nice name, simple, honest, easy to remember, it’s not trying too hard to sound cool like “the shadow-walker” it is a WHILE before he ever even finds out the mysterious young mans real name but when he does he really has no opinion on it- other than hoping to avoid any confusing scenarios if anyone said one of their names… with all that the shadow is wrapped up in one small error could be devastating… boy wouldn’t that be rough if the government collapsed because somone got two Johns mixed up.

Tail twitching she will stalk over and stare at Mossbriar until he skitters off, confused by the look in her eyes and the feeling in his chest. On the flip side, when someone is seeking Froststar's ear and he hears her name she jumps up frantically looking for the source, only to grumpily sit down again and turn his tail up, twitching.

Not only do they have such similar names, but Zem and Dem also look incredibly similar pelt-wise! Of course, when you consider their body type, their attire, the way they carry themselves... they're not alike at all. Zem thinks it's midly amusing whenever a newcomer or a kit runs up to him looking for the other, and has known Dem since he was a kit. Dem on the other hand finds it incredibly humilating to be mistaken for the old tom, as it sort of ruins his whole "tough-guy" persona to be called the same name as the goofy teacher who's always spouting facts and telling bad puns. It's not that Dem hates Zem- it's just that he finds it embarrassing to be seen around the same guy who's always been trailed after by little kits asking if they can have a nap. It's DEM with a d, not Zem with a z! Go find your teacher, leave him be unless you're here to see him do a cool trick!
