Based on my blue rose, Mei!

Mei at night has a whole new look than during the day.
She becomes the shadows and has a more mysterious aura.


A LOT of shading and blending was done in this Oekaki.
Yes, that is my fail of a lightning bolt in the background.

I use the smoothing tool, on the pen pallet. It's the last little bar thingy. I usually set it to about 58 but if you want more jagged, precise lines set it to about 38. And that's how I get my lines. I set my pen to about 3 or 4 size, too. (Sometimes pencil, but not this time)
Then, I color in my lines with pencil (not pen because it still has my line settings on it). I usually get frustrated with not keeping in the lines so scribble-color then erase the colors outside the lines! =3
Then, I lock-alpha all color changes I have to make and usually shade on that layer with pencil. I use Opacity 20-30 percent and smoothing around 40 percent and shade at the color black with lock alpha still on. (To stay in the lines) If it's an editable Oekaki, though, I put the shading on a new layer.
The background...I usually don't do one as complicated. I usually just set Pencil to 50 percent Opacity and a pretty big size and scribble with random colors relevant to the drawing! 83
