i've been introduced to dog coat genetics and i like them a lot. i might try to make a dog breed ARPG? the breed i'm thinking of doesnt have a name yet, but it would be a mix of Utonagan, Australian Shepherd, and Shikoku Inu.

It would be spitz-like in conformation with short fur on it's face body and hindlegs, long fur on it's ears neck forelegs and tail, sharp upright ears, long legs, a narrow muzzle and a slight curl to it's tail. It would come in any color, with a heavy genetic system. It would not include every gene in dogs (great dane harlequin, for example, would be left out), and some traits which currently IRL are not defined (like urajiro and the RALY agouti modifier) would be given genes so as to be usable.

I think maybe you'd be interested in the 'Pomskollie'.
They are a breed being developed in the UK and allow both short and longhair but usually found in the type you describe (with a fluffy 'mane' and tail).
They also come in any colour and pattern (other than GD harlequin, etc.) although merle features a lot as does urajaro (various intensities) and ticked.
They are supposed to be able to fit into almost any home and/or family and are full of personality!

oh, what a cute breed! i'll have to keep an eye on them, they're adorable.

i have already started developing an ARPG breed from this idea, though, unfortunately, so it's a bit late to change it: shiagan herders! i do appeeciate the links though, very beautiful dogs.

I always welcome genetics lovers in my ARPG communities! Currently, I'm working on a a gentics guide and a random genotype roller which will function similar to this one made for my cat ARPG, providing a randomly generated genotype & phenotype! I need to cement the genetics system the RPG will use before I can actually program it though, so that's what I'm currently working on.

Once I have an artist search up, the genetics guide finished, and the starter roller working, I'll begin making adopts and taking starter requests! Once that happens, I'm always happy to take genotype or phenotype suggestions for adopts.
