constructive criticism?

Postby Electronia » Mon Jun 28, 2021 3:46 pm

I have asked for this before, let me know if this breaks rules and I will edit it. <3
Can someone look through my gallery and give me some ways I can improve my art?
I would really appreciate it. <3

i always dig the lineless look you have for your art!! im really bad at constructive criticism so heres a quick tip:
try building a framework/rough sketch before your doodle, use a lot of lines and shapes if you want to. it'll help you set the groundwork for the rest of your drawing. here's a few examples

also, experiment! don't be afraid to use references. that's what theyre for! save art you like to a new folder. you can use the folder for inspiration or to look at other peoples' styles to see what you can maybe adopt into yours, just as long as you don't try to outright copy or trace someone else's art.

Good stufff, thank you, i will try these. You aren't the first person who'd told me to sketch before, mainly so I can have a base shape to color in rather than just having a shakey arm-

Noted, I'll work on having an evolving style now and then, I appreciate it!
Thank you Tifa.
