WHY can u not delete ur own oekaki posts when theres replies on them just WHY
i dont wanna pm a mod 28793872 times 4 something so dumb n unimportant 2 remove them

also whoever has yet again gone back n liked old stuff in my gallery WHY
like at first its kinda funny then i get rly bad.....embarrassment idek
then i think its funny again, then i get embarrassed again....like my face is hot typin gthis i am Uncomfy
most of that art is stuff i wanna delete its from 2011 n stuff dude i was a literal Child
so when i see its gettin likes in 2021 !!!! its just rly cringey for me aksjfhaksjf
idk if u think its funny that i come 2 okekaki 2 call u out or somethin
n i know that when i point it out it makes ppl curious + wanna do it maybe idk???

but i rly have no other way 2 express that its kinda weird n im not a fan :T

HONESTLY its kinda like............ u know when someone likes ur instagram pics from years ago?? like yeah it's partially on me for still having those images up for people to see, but at least on instagram 1) you're able to delete those posts whenever you feel like it and 2) you KNOW who's liking them so if it makes you uncomfortable you could talk to them or drop a fat block

and it's not necessarily wrong to like someone's old art but i can definitely understand how it makes you uncomfortable!! i have a few pieces i also blacked out bc i hated them :pensive: it just b like that

hey man i totally get you and honestly im the same way.... except im super critical of my art and i end up hating things i drew even a week ago. physically cant go past page 2 in my oekaki because i cannot stand how my art looks and it's just a punch in the face when people go in and like each individual one. i totally understand why youd feel that way nd like you said theres nothing wrong w people doin it but you just gotta be like Why

also on an unrelated note your dynamic poses are so impressive please teach me

Okay I may be a silly old weirdo for saying this, but I'm actually kinda glad that you can't delete art that has replies on it. Back in 2013 I decided to delete as many of my old drawings that I could, so everything without a reply went bye bye. The others I just edited to put a cover on with something like "delete!". To this day I heavily regret that. I want to see how I've progressed over the years! I want to relive the memories of those times, even if they're bad. Because the fact that I can laugh at my old junk now means that I've come a long way c: you never will really experience those times again, so I say look back and be proud of your journey!

I absolutely understand feeling embarrassed or weird over getting likes on old stuff since you'd rather have people like what you're capable of now, but there's also something kind of endearing about it. I just think about if that like would make younger me happy, and that makes me grateful. Not to mention people are interested enough in your art to go looking around. I think that's pretty flattering. Or maybe it's a kid that really admired you and wants to believe that you started out the same way they did. Is any of this making sense? Am I still an outlier for thinkin' this way.

Anywhomstdtdve, because of my experiences I try to get people to not delete their art, I just don't want them to regret it c': if you want you can always put a cover on it so that only you can see what's underneath >w•

Tl;dr Old art is like a time capsule, don't delete it! It's fun to look at. But if it brings you literal agony ignore everything I said mm'kay bye

these days i feel like cs isnt as active as it was back in the day lowkey so theres less replies sometimes
so more than a few times i have gone back n straight up deleted whole entire oekaki posts :')
+ its not even that i hate my art rly its just....that stuff is so old
i dont think it represents "me" anymore if that makes sense so i just wanna hide it lmaooooo

yes yes yes i totally get where ur coming from!! but on cs the art i dont like is public + very old + theres a LOT of it
i associate a lot of my old art w very specific memories/people/events/etc just bc of the time period i guess lol
some of that i just would rather not think about/be reminded of i think???
& i have actually gone back in several times 2 black out my LEAST favorite pieces!!
but i have 50+ pages in my gallery n its very tedious + i am incredibly lazy ahahaha ;A;
if there was like a way 2 mass hide/archive oekaki posts that would be PERFECT
but for now i guess ill keep playing the "black out old art until i get annoyed with it again" game </3

you can report posts of yours and be like "old art, don't want public" they don't count as strikes or anything when they're taken down. I have done this with a couple posts actually, but it could be time consuming.
