Harley always uses his initials. No matter what the piece, he adds his tag, giving the art nice depth and perspective, leaving his mark wherever he goes.

put simply, daz is... a bit of a hopeless romantic.
his boyfriend once called him razzle dazzle.
it instantly stuck as a pet name for him.

when on stage, as the frontman of his punk band, his stage name is razzle dazzle, raz for short.
every song is dedicated to him.

when he wants to advertise his shows, all he does is carry around his cans of spray paint,
finds a suitable wall, and bam: the art happens.

so, you have daz's boyfriend to thank for the tag, the name, for everything, really.
daz certainly has him to thank for everything.

explanation: the jo comes from her grandmother - josephine. she's taken that name and repurposed it into her own title - perhaps out of respect or some misplaced desire to be "retro"; she's not open about sharing that.
as for the B, it's a tad more complicated than that. it symbolizes how she'd be, err, the "B version" of the original jo, but more than that it gives monarch a unique tag and references some of the more political, spiritual and serious themes she tries to reflect in her work (story of job, and whatnot).
as for the complexity of color, monarch is a serial perfectionist. she can't just use black lines - that doesn't stand out much, does it?
even in her larger, more complex works, she tries to incorporate the blocky JO-B tag into the art.
