My OC, Merlot the Skywing.
His scars are from a battle with his brother.

His brother, Cardinal, liked to rob the queen's gold sometimes.
One day, Merlot confronted Cardinal, and much to his dismay, attacked him.
Hence his scars.

Cardinal proceeded to frame Merlot of the robberies, stashing the gold under his bed.
Merlot was put on trial and found guilty, though he himself knew he was innocent.
Cardinal was awarded Merlot's high-ranked guard position, and Merlot was sent to the dungeon.

About 2 years after Merlot's imprisonment, Cardinal thought he could be sneaky and steal some gold jewelry for himself without anybody noticing. He managed to sneak in through a secret tunnel, and steal some gold rings and earrings. As he was walking out, he bumped into a guard that was previously Merlot's friend.

The guard, Auburn, questioned Cardinal's intent, since he was so near the gold. Cardinal made an excuse of walking around to get fresh air, but Auburn knew better. He had seen the stolen gold hidden in Cardinal's pouch.

Auburn dismissed Cardinal, and went straight to the queen. She seemed outraged that Auburn would make such an accusation of her esteemed guard. However, she agreed to question Cardinal.

He was put on trial, and plead guilty after they brought in the gold he stole. He was sentenced to 10 human years in the dungeon. They also found he had framed Merlot, and finally let him free, as well as giving him his old guard position once again.
