Irconically, it’s not a cactus, it’s a fern! The way that the leaves seem to droop and loop around each other is just so mesmerizing to Saguaro. When he was still a smaller cat, he used to climb in the giant pots and sleep under the shade that the giant leaves produced. Ya know, sometimes he even, uh, chews on the leaves? It’s not anything weird, he swears! He just likes how it tastes – nice and bitter. Yes, very yummy indeed.

Juniper started growing a jade plant from a single leaf they found one day, and it has now grown into their favorite plant! Every week, they make sure the leaves are clean and bright by gently wiping the dust off, and they are careful to keep track of watering so the roots are undamaged. What was once a single leaf is now a jade about twice as tall as Juniper, with sturdy branches that support the weight of a sleepy plush kitten at the end of the day.
