Ryvan is a dragon, she's about 450 years old
around 300 years ago she made a bet, for you see dragons are notorious gamblers.
It was with a human, he challenged her to a set of events (with stuff like in the olympics)
If he won he'd get her magic and if she won she'd get his soul.
the deal was no magic, since being a giant dragon she already had an advantage.
she thought there was no way that he could win, but the humans had been working on advancing technology while that dragons just used their magic. being young she knew nothing of this
he used special machines and although it was close he in the end won.
dragons cannot physically go against their word (also anyone who makes a deal with one also can't) so she gave him her magic
having a dragons magic gives you almost complete control of them + the ability to use the magic yourself
he left her stripped of her power, stuck in a weaker more human-like form, he also left her mute.
she lives in the forest wearing a helmet that she carved to resemble how she formerly looked
the dress is made out of wood but enchanted to flow like fabric
she hums and whistles a lot and sings wordless melodies it's similar to siren song, it make people want to follow it but not anywhere near as strongly
