Sunflower wakes every morning to a magpie warbling from the stable roof. At the break of day, the black-and-white songbird begins her tune, slowly and surely waking every horse, dog, critter and person within five miles. Addy, the barn's maggie, has the sweetest tune and the sharpest nip when displeased.
